TAALED: Tool for the Automatic analysis of LExical Diversity (Beta Version)
TAALED is an analysis tool designed to calculate a wide variety of lexical diversity indices. Homographs are disambiguated using part of speech tags, and indices are calculated using lemma forms. Indices can also be calculated using all lemmas, content lemmas, or function lemmas. Also available is diagnostic output which allows the user to see how TAALED processed each word.
TAALED is easy to use. It takes plain text files as input (it will process all plain text files in a particular folder) and produces a comma separated values (.csv) spreadsheet that is easily read by any spreadsheet software. Starting with TAALED 1.3.1, no additional programs are needed for the program to function properly. |
